Jennifer Brown
My first passion is my family; husband, four children, their spouses, and four grandchildren. We love to spend time together - hanging out at home, visiting museums and the zoo, playing games, and traveling. Beyond my family, I love traveling around the globe, spending time at the beach, and exploring historical sites. I have visited over thirty countries on six continents and have a long bucket lists of other must see places. I visit Disney World annually with my children and grandchildren. I love all things Mickey! I’ve also enjoyed leading student groups on many experiences both domestically and internationally. I love reading all genres. I particularly enjoy dystopian novels, mysteries, historical fiction, and thrillers. I am a history buff and especially enjoy Ancient Greece, Roman Empire, Egyptology, and early British royalty. I love the theater, musicals, symphonies, and especially ballet. I owned a dance studio for five years and continued directing the Port Huron Nutcracker for many years. I am passionate about education and have dedicated my work life to supporting children in their learning.
Life Long Learner:
An educator will never be done learning, experimenting, adapting, revising, and growing. I have consistently attended learning opportunities on all available topics, including my most recent endeavor to complete my Master’s Degree in teaching. I have enjoyed collaborating with other teachers in multiple Lesson Studies and Teacher Led Inquiries. I will continue to pursue knowledge both professionally and personally.
